Embedded AI is a specific, rapidly developing and still underestimated product field. With precise project planning, resource allocation and the necessary skills, the approach should gradually become part of the standard toolset of product developers – starting with management and covering mechanical background and process planning. Many processes and metrics can be viewed in a new light. It is important to set up the concept, which has been validated with proof of concepts, in a way that is foolproof. The conceptual idea should not be limited to the system, but should also extend to the product’s lifespan, optimizations, updates and technological advances. Then nothing stands in the way of an innovative product.
